Born in Miami, Ryan earned a BFA in Sculpture and Art History from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2021. His work has been exhibited throughout South Florida, Missouri, and Indiana. With three years of experience in fine art appraisal, he is a current candidate for accreditation with the International Society of Appraisers.

My practice investigates the queer family structure. Through the trauma of the AIDS crisis, many lives were cut short while others were forced to start anew. As the biological son of a gay man and a gay woman, each with their own same-sex partner, my upbringing came from the aftermath of this upheaval. My vignettes explore the everyday triumphs and conflicts of an atypical family through themes of mortality, renewal, and heritage.
